Day 1 -
A journey from Guwahati to Cherrapunji-gate way to the above of clouds

  • Morning: Relax and enjoy local Khasi tea, Pukhlein or bread omelette.
  • Short stop: Take a photo break at the beautiful Umiam Lake.
  • Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at a traditional Khasi restaurant or resort.
  • Post-lunch visit:
    Nohkalikai Falls: One of the tallest waterfalls in India.
    Optional: Visit the Seven Sisters Waterfalls.

Day 2 -
Terk to Jingkiengblei the sacred living root bridges

  • Trek Duration: Moderate 3–4 hour round trip.
  • Morning Drive: Drive to Rangthylliang village (approx. 1–1.5 hours).
  • Begin the Trek: Start your trek with a local guide.
  • Trek Highlights:
    Walk through serene bamboo forests and sacred groves.
    Reach Jingkieng Blei – a peaceful double-decker living root bridge.
    Enjoy the pristine nature, take photos, and relax by the stream.
  • Afternoon: Return to the village by 2:00 PM.
  • Lunch: Enjoy a traditional Khasi lunch prepared locally.
  • Evening: Drive back to Cherrapunji.
  • Night: Dinner and rest.
  • Overnight Stay: Shillong.

Day 3 -
Rongsohphoh – Nature hidden caves
Pomlyer - the viewpoint of the clouds

  • Start: Begin from Sohra by mid-morning or after your morning activity.
  • Drive: Travel 9 km (approx. 12 minutes) to reach Umnnoi Living Root Bridge (Jingkieng Diengjri).
  • Visit: Explore the living root bridge and enjoy the viewpoint of Nohkalikai Falls (best during monsoon season).
  • Duration: Spend around 2 hours at the site.
  • Next Stop: Drive to Pomlyer village by 12:30 PM.
  • Explore: Wander through traditional Khasi villages.
    Admire forest views and bamboo homes.
    Take slow village walks and interact with locals.
  • Time: Spend 2–3 hours exploring Pomlyer.
  • Lunch: Enjoy a packed lunch or request a traditional meal in the village.

Day 4 -
Weisohphoh – A hidden water paradises
Wei Sawdong Falls – Meghallaya tiered beauty

  • Start Point: Cherrapunji
  • 8:30 AM – Weisawdong Falls:
    Begin a short but steep trek (~30 minutes) to reach the hidden tiered waterfall.
    Enjoy relaxing, photography, and taking in the natural views.
    Estimated time spent: ~2 to 2.5 hours
  • 12:15 PM – Wahsohra Village Visit: Explore traditional Khasi village life and customs.
    Walk through clean, peaceful village paths—ideal for slow walks and local interactions.
    Optional: Light lunch with a local family or homestay.
    Estimated time spent: ~1.5 to 2 hours

Day 5 -
To Wahadong – Where nature whispered peace

  • Start Time: Around 8:30 AM from Cherrapunji
  • Destination: Wahadong (approx. 10–12 km, 30–40 minutes' drive)
  • Wahadong is a peaceful and lesser-known village in the Khatarshnong Laitkroh region
  • Surrounded by forested hills and serene landscapes
  • Ideal for nature lovers seeking solitude away from tourist crowds
  • Explore the natural surroundings
  • Enjoy a quiet village walk
  • Relax near the forest edge and soak in the peaceful atmosphere
  • Spend around 2–3 hours here
  • Note: As there are no shops or restaurants in Wahadong, carry water and light snacks with you

Day 6 -
Cherrapunjee - Shillong - Guwahati

Your final day begins with a refreshing morning in Cherrapunji. After breakfast, drive back through the misty hills and green valleys toward Shillong. En route, take a short break at Mawkdok Dympep Viewpoint to capture your last scenic memories of the highlands. Stop in Shillong for a quick lunch or take a stroll through Police Bazaar to pick up some souvenirs. Then, continue the journey to Guwahati through pine-lined roads and rolling hills. Arrive in Guwahati by evening, your heart filled with unforgettable memories of Meghalaya’s hidden gems—the living root bridges, serene landscapes, and the warm hospitality of the locals.
