Day 8 -
Shillong to Guwahati - “A journey through clouds , curves and culture”

Nestled in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, Shillong—often called the "Scotland of the East"—is a hill station that captivates with its pine-scented air, mist-shrouded peaks, and colonial charm. As you prepare to leave, the streets feel like they’re whispering stories of music and rain. Whether it’s the rhythm of a local band playing in the alleys or the slow drift of clouds brushing past the hills, Shillong leaves behind a melody that hums in your memory.
The drive to Guwahati is more than just a transition between two cities—it’s a gentle descent from the highlands to the Brahmaputra plains. You’ll trace winding roads that slice through lush forests and sleepy villages, catching glimpses of waterfalls or roadside stalls selling warm tea and puffed rice. As you approach Guwahati, the scenery shifts to wide riverbanks and bustling streets, but somewhere in the soft echo of the hills behind, Shillong still lingers like the last chord of a beautiful song.
